Slight issue with courier causing damage to the cake the day before our daughter's first birthday. Johnny and the team came to the rescue with an amazing replacement the following morning. Been a long time customer and so delighted that the service matches the quality of their cakes and treats.
The whole order process was so easy and straightforward. I choose the 8 inch cake and we used the wedding cake cutting method so it was enough for 12 children + 1 accompanying parent. This cake received so many compliments. It was beautiful inside and out. The texture was superb - moist and soft. The raspberry jam is the perfect addition to the sweetness. It was an absolute hit. I would defo order again 👍
Absolutely amazing! The butter cream, the sponge and even the size. I have nothing which I would have added or taken away. The cake was absolutely stunning and a massive hit with everyone!
The cake tasted fantastic and everyone loved it. Best one we’ve had from you so far! Although the tuck shop cake comes in at a very close second!
Great cake! Was devoured 😂😂
Lovely cake! Probably one of the best birthday cakes I’ve had.
The cake was amazing our daughter loved and enjoyed the flavour especially the cake itself.
Incredible!
Easy to order online and great customer service
This cake tastes as good as it looks.
I’ve been a customer of C&D for 10+ years and bought countless cakes, cupcakes and cookies. It was an easy choice for my daughter’s birthday cake. On this occasion it was an 8 inch Birthday Cake. Three quarters of the cake fed 20 guests with generous slices. Beautifully made, great tasting with lots of compliments from family. Thank you C&D! (Cake toppers purchased separately)
I'm always extremely happy with every order. You are definitely the best!
Beautiful design and tasty, a winning combination!
Looked great, tasted delicious and we had one happy birthday girl.
Great cake and tasted amazing as well!
Simple to order and was a sophisticated stylish cake which was greatly appreciated and fitted perfectly to the surroundings of Scott's Mayfair restaurant - I would definitely order another cake again and having never even seen the products before I was very grateful it arrived in perfect time and condition for my Wife's birthday lunch - thank you very much.
Beautiful cake exactly as it is on the website. Pick up was easy and convenient. We brought the 10inch for around 15 kids + parents, but as the cake is quite tall, we ended up having a bit too much. The 8 inch would have been perfect, with a little to spare, but otherwise would definitely buy again!
Such a delicious birthday cake. We had so many compliments saying it was the best cake they’ve had!
Your cakes have become a family tradition and eagerly anticipated. The latest one ( quickly nicknamed the unicorn cake) was not a disappointment and quickly disappeared.
Everyone loved the cake! Tasted and look great!
I purchased this cake for the first time through recommendation from a friend who bought several times before. It was for my daughter’s birthday and she loved it. I had a slice of course and it was delicious. I would definitely purchase again. Thank you
The cake was delicious and moist for quite a few days. Thank you!
Excellent customer service and beautiful birthday cake that tasted just as good as it looked !
Delicious cake! It was the star of the wedding(/also birthday!) party.
Fantastic cake. Very happy birthday girl. There were tears of joy 😊
The cake looked and tasted absolutely amazing my daughter was a very happy bunny
WHAT MAKES A CRUMBS & DOILIES CAKE SPECIAL?
Over 18 years as one of the UK's best bakeries
Since Day One we've been fanatical about baking, and we've stayed true to our roots ever since Jemma began Crumbs & Doilies way back in 2006. We only ever use the finest ingredients, and every one of our bakes is made to exacting standards by people who truly love to bake. We're obsessive about cake, and fanatical about customer service.
EVERYTHING Freshly Baked
We never use frozen sponge or store our bakes - everything at Crumbs & Doilies is freshly baked. Whether it's a three tier wedding cake from our main bakery or a Choc Chip New York Cookie from C&D Soho everything we do is made on site on the day.
Customer Service that goes above and beyond
Great cakes are nothing without great customer service, and we pride ourselves on having a team that goes above and beyond. We're always available over phone and email to help arrange or amend orders, and we love to talk cake.
The finest ingredients available
Crumbs & Doilies only ever uses the finest ingredients available. All our butter is supplied by Lescure, our flour is organic from Doves Farm, our sugar is always from sugar cane and not beet, our eggs are organic and free range and we use Callebaut Chocolate and Cocoa in our bakes.
All additions and inclusions made in house
We make all our inclusions, such as caramels, curds, meringues, fruit goos, chocolate truffles and more fresh from scratch in house every day. There's rarely a moment when we're not caramelising white chocolate, or bubbling fresh raspberries, to ensure everything in our cakes and bakes is as good as it can be.
Bespoke customisations and options available
We pride ourselves on being able to offer customisations and bespoke options wherever possible to ensure your order is exactly as you want it. From custom decoration to edible printing if you've got something special in mind get in touch to see if we can help.
Fast, reliable delivery in London and the UK
We offer an exceptional hand delivery service for all our Cakes and Cupcakes across London and within the M25, with each order travelling direct from our bakery to your door, and if you're in the UK we ship Brownies and Cookies overnight on the afternoon they're baked so they arrive fresh as can be.
Sharing recipes with the world since 2010
We've been sharing our recipes on the Cupcake Jemma channel on YouTube for nearly 15 years, and we're thrilled to have built up a loyal and passionate fan base who share the love of baking.
Employee owned & led, no outside investors
As a small independent business we've never taken outside investment or had to compromise on quality for the sake of profitability and that's the way we like it.
Cake originators
Although there's no shortage of other bakeries with 'similar' bakes to ours we strive each day to be true baking originators, so whether it's one of our unique cake creations, a piece of Caramel Cornflake Brownie or a just-warm New York Cookie you can be sure nothing will beat the Crumbs & Doilies original.
Trusted by thousands of Happy Cake Lovers
With over a thousand five star reviews of our Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies and Brownies you can be sure you're in good hands when you order a bake from Crumbs & Doilies. We aways take exceptional care to deliver great cakes and a great experience.
