This is probably my eighth cake from C&D, and every single one has been outstanding. They’re consistently moist, full of flavour, and always look stunning. Friends and family now look forward to my “C&D cake” at every celebration — it’s become a tradition!

The cake itself was actually delicious, I have unfortunately deducted a star for the following reason; I arrived at the shop to collect my order on a Saturday and to be told that you DON'T have any bags to help carry the large cake is unacceptable. I have picked up from you before and have always been given a bag to help carry, I would have preferred to be asked to bring my own bag at checkout - this could even be positively sold by yourselves to help lower carbon footprints (and push re-using bags). I would of happily brought my own bag but instead I had to navigate up and down escalators and tube lines until I got back home to north London.

This cake was delicious everyone loved it, I emailed crumbs and Dollie’s on a Saturday not realising they were closed, but I sent the email anyway. On Monday, I got a call from the guy saying that they could make the cake ready for Tuesday (thank god). I was so happy and grateful because the cake I had ordered from somewhere else and last minute cancelled on me so I was panicking about where to get the cake from. This chocolate cake was perfect to celebrate my daughter‘s 21st with a small dinner the staff in the restaurant commented how beautifully it was decorated. Thank you Crumbs and Dollies.

I have now ordered this chocolate cake three times from Crumbs and Doilies for different birthdays and they never disappoint. It has the right balance of dark chocolate and it’s not too sweet. I do not like cakes that are too sweet. The cake is moist and even tastes better the following day. My family loves C&D cakes. It’s more pricey than shop bought cakes but you really get what you are paying for in terms of taste and quality. I need to try other flavours.

The finest ingredients available
Crumbs & Doilies only ever uses the finest ingredients available. All our butter is supplied by Lescure, our flour is organic from Doves Farm, our sugar is always from sugar cane and not beet, our eggs are organic and free range and we use Callebaut Chocolate and Cocoa in our bakes.
All additions and inclusions made in house
We make all our inclusions, such as caramels, curds, meringues, fruit goos, chocolate truffles and more fresh from scratch in house every day. There's rarely a moment when we're not caramelising white chocolate, or bubbling fresh raspberries, to ensure everything in our cakes and bakes is as good as it can be.

We offer an exceptional hand delivery service for all our Cakes and Cupcakes across London and within the M25, with each order travelling direct from our bakery to your door, and if you're in the UK we ship Brownies and Cookies overnight on the afternoon they're baked so they arrive fresh as can be.
